One of the most popular varieties of black tea in China. A native of Anhui province, it differs from other varieties in the fact that it is not grown at high altitudes, as well as in its taste and aroma.
Of a reddish color (hong cha means "red tea" in Chinese), it is a fermented variety that does not show great stridency in terms of its flavor and aroma, being soft and harmonious.
Qimen Hong Cha holds up very well to infuse it several times in a row, and it is a great after-dinner tea.
